Job Description
Avery Dennison RBIS Indonesia seeks a site leadership role with responsibility for Safety, Quality, Service, Productivity and Cost reduction objectives within an assigned facility area. Provide leadership and direction for a customer-focused team; with guidance from functional management, lead a group of teams committed to increased quality and productivity.
Employee Development & Management
- Train and provide development opportunities for staff. Ensure annual goals are complete and communicated. Ensure Global Performance Management System is up to date and regular feedback is provided to staff members.
- Monitor and evaluate team members, and adjust training where needed.
- Attract, retain and develop high potential talent.
- Model and promote the Corporation’s Code of Business Ethics and Values.
- Perform general management duties, including staff performance appraisals, promotions and terminations; oversee training and development of subordinate staff, estimate personnel needs, assign work, meet completion dates, interpret and ensure consistent application of policies. Maintain timekeeping, overtime and vacation records and schedules.
- Act as a team role model and change-agent; lead and influence team members to partner to achieve goals.
- Coordinate team efforts, create and manage a regional strategy and team operating plan.
Operations
- Directly supervise employees in a site; monitor work, adjust schedules to meet conditions, manage load factors and workflow to maximize capacity and efficient use of labor, tools and equipment.
- Design and implement operations improvement strategies for safety, cost, quality, training, inventory and services.
- Analyze daily operational needs and improvements; provide prompt problem solving for key issues.
- Responsible for key operational measures within the business unit (service, quality, productivity, cost, safety).
- Supervise daily work schedules of warehouse staff performing shipping, receiving, loading/unloading, stacking, picking, packing and palletizing; determine storage space requirements and schedule delivery and distribution to meet customer requirements. Prepare and analyze inventory reports to identify slow-moving or surplus stock.
- Cultivate and reinforce values and behaviors; analyze problems, plans, tasks and solutions; present team recommendations on processes and procedures aligned with cost, quality and productivity goals.
- Maintain quality control processes; lead process improvements; drive improvements across metrics; manage production flow, staffing and resources to budget and plan.
- Ensure best practices and SOPs are followed by conducting frequent audits.
- Lead 5S activities, housekeeping and recycling programs; drive safety initiatives and lead safety meetings/huddles.
- Collaborate with other functions to resolve problems and improve manufacturing processes; work to reduce waste and process complexity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree (mechanical/electrical/industrial production preferred).
- 5+ years operational experience with team leadership preferred.
- Skilled in analyzing and drawing information for daily operational needs and improvements.
- Skilled in scheduling, planning, budgeting and control; knowledge of systems.
- Skilled in designing and implementing operation improvement strategies for safety, cost, quality, training, inventory and services.
- Strong ability to manage, coach and develop a diverse team performing a variety of tasks.
- Experience leading continuous improvement efforts; familiarity with ELS Operating Principles.
- Strong customer focus, communication, planning and coordination skills.
- Ability to anticipate problems, think ahead, decide and take action.
- Experience in Offset/Digital packaging industry considered a plus.
