Support Worker: Two positions available
Personal Assistant – Accrington / Oswaldtwistle / Blackburn Area

An opportunity has arisen for a Support Worker to provide support to a gentleman living in a rented property, within the local community.

As a Support Worker your duties will include:

  • Supporting with all aspects of daily life
  • Helping with dressing, planning and cooking a variety of healthy, well‑balanced meals
  • Taking out, grocery shopping, and managing paperwork/finances
  • Facilitating access to groups and social activities, and training, work placements and volunteering opportunities
  • Maintaining personal hygiene and cleanliness around the rented home, including washing and ironing

We are looking for a professional and caring individual with a passion for helping others, enabling the client to remain as independent as possible.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Positive attitude and good work ethic
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • DBS clearance (required)
  • Driver’s licence with a clean record and own vehicle (desirable)

Hours of work: 28 h.p.w. with an hourly rate of £12.21 plus 5.6 weeks paid annual leave and workplace pension scheme. Hours can be negotiated and shared by the 2 x PAs. Some evenings and weekends may be required; work pattern discussed at interview.
