Job summary
A well-regarded care organization in Chesham is seeking a part-time Kitchen Assistant to maintain kitchen cleanliness, assist with food preparation, and support the Cook during busy periods. Responsibilities
- Assist cook in the preparation of vegetables during busy periods.
- Clean equipment including cooker, oven, and Bain Maries as per schedule.
- Follow the cleaning schedule as directed by the Head Cook.
- Deal with waste bags according to health & safety procedures.
- Ensure tea trolleys and trays are kept clean.
- Maintain the dishwasher to the required standard.

We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant to ensure the cleanliness and hygienic appearance of the kitchen, cleaning all equipment according to the cleaning schedule. You will also assist the Cook when and where necessary in preparing vegetables during busy periods.
£12.35 to £12.38 per hour
Part time - 36 Hours (alt weekends)
07 : 30 to 19 : 30 (alt weekend)

- Assist cook in the preparation of vegetables and at very busy periods where necessary.
- To clean the cooker, oven hot plate, Bain Maries, and all other equipment including Fridges and Freezers as per the cleaning schedule.
- To follow the cleaning schedule as directed by the Head Cook.
- To deal with the waste bags in accordance with health & safety and infection control procedures.
- Ensure that tea trolleys and trays are kept clean at all times.
- Ensure the dishwasher is maintained to required standard as per cleaning schedules.
- Must hold a Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2 or above.
