Associate Transport Planner — £60,000 - £70,000 • Birmingham
We’re working with a leading UK consultancy who are looking to appoint an Associate Transport Planner as they continue to grow their Birmingham office.
This is a senior leadership role for an experienced transport planner who’s ready to take full ownership of projects, drive business development, and play a key role in shaping and expanding the team.
- Leading transport planning projects from feasibility through to delivery
- Preparing and overseeing Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, Access Strategies, Parking Strategies and more
- Managing client relationships and representing the business in negotiations with local authorities and stakeholders
- Providing expert input into S106 negotiations and technical approvals
- Leading and mentoring junior and senior staff, supporting their technical and project development
- Driving business development opportunities and supporting the long-term growth of the Birmingham office
- A relevant degree (Master’s in Transport or related discipline desirable)
- Significant UK consultancy experience in transport planning and development planning
- Proven track record in leading projects and managing clients
- Strong technical expertise with transport modelling and planning software (e.g. TRICS, ARCADY, PICADY, LINSIG)
- Commercially minded, with the drive to grow a team and win new business
- £70,000 salary + performance-related bonus
