Job description
Overview

Logistics Specialist responsible for manual tasks including assembling, addressing, stamping, and arranging shipments; coordinating daily delivery and collection schedules to and from multiple locations; handling incoming shipments, unpacking boxes, and verifying contents; and maintaining precise records of all commodities moving in and out of company locations. Travel up to 50% to support other locations within the region (within 30 miles of London Heathrow Airport); future opportunities for international travel may arise.

Responsibilities
  • Review Data Center inventory, inbound shipments, and ongoing demand to ensure proper stock levels to support build and repair activities.
  • Collaborate with the Logistics Manager to optimize the flow of parts through their lifecycle; track inventory location, movement, age, and turns.
  • Work closely with Data Center Operations Technicians and Data Center Engineers to fulfill parts quickly and accurately.
  • Collaborate with Procurement and Hardware Engineering to purchase new parts and interface with vendors to process RMAs and receive replacements.
  • Enter data and resolve questions from peer organizations.
  • Maintain up-to-date metrics dashboards and create reports for internal and external suppliers and management as required.
  • Assemble, address, stamp and arrange for the shipment of merchandise and materials.
  • Assist in daily scheduling of deliveries and pickups to and from production locations.
  • Keep precise records of all commodities moving in and out of the company.
Safety
  • Logistics Specialists are expected to understand all aspects of production, adhere to strict safety standards, and maintain high levels of quality.
Physical requirements
  • Manual handling and lifting of equipment may be required (weight limits in accordance with regulations).
  • Handling incoming shipments, unpack boxes, and verify contents.
