Qualifications
- Experience gained working in a similar role.
- Working knowledge of Control Room procedures and Driver Working Time Directives.
- Excellent computer literacy skills, particularly Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate confidently with stakeholders.
- CPC certification.
Responsibilities
- Work as part of the Control Room management team.
- Ensure driver compliance processes are adhered to at all times.
- Monitor and improve performance and health and safety standards.
- Provide support during peak times and holiday periods.
- Deliver Despatcher training.
- Undergo projects as designated by the Control Room Manager.
Position: Transport Shift Manager | Contract Type: Permanent / Full-time | Location: Baginton, Coventry
Hours: Monday – Friday 09:00–18:30
- Work as part of the Control Room management team in order to provide excellent service to both internal and external customers.
- Ensure driver compliance processes and procedures are in place and adhered to at all times.
- Work with the Lead Shunter to monitor and improve individual levels of performance and health and safety standards.
- Provide support to nightshift Control Room team and Regional Linehaul managers during peak times and holiday periods.
- Review, develop and deliver Despatcher training.
- Undergo projects as designated by the Control Room Manager.
