The Exciting Opportunity:

Reporting to the National HS&E Manager based in Victoria, you'll play a crucial role in advancing K&S's commitment to our 'Everybody Safe Everyday' culture, ensuring that our workers and visitors are made aware of their HS&E responsibilities within an active operational environment.

We are looking for someone who thrives when working alongside & collaborating with operational leaders to help foster a strong safety culture!

Responsibilities:

  • Actively promote and champion positive HS&E behaviours whilst living and breathing K&S's culture of 'Everybody Safe Everyday'.
  • Undertake regular safety monitoring activities, providing coaching, mentoring and advice on all HS&E matters including incident and hazard reporting and investigations.
  • Support the maintenance and application of the K&S management system whilst supporting operational stakeholders with their respective HS&E obligations.
  • Undertake risk assessments, supporting and assisting operational stakeholders with the development of practical risk minimisation strategies.
  • Collaborate with a network of HS&E Professionals within K&S on company initiatives and best practice organisational performance activities.
  • Conduct system and workplace audits.

About You:

We will be impressed by candidates who have a minimum Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (or higher), plus:

  • A full and valid driver's licence is required - this position has a requirement to travel to various K&S sites and locations.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, Lead Auditor (Occupational Health and Safety), Lead Investigator (ICAM or similar) training is desirable, however, not mandatory.
  • Experience working within a HS&E-related capacity within the Transport, Warehousing and Logistics (or other high-risk industry) is preferred, including experience working within an established HS&E management system.
  • Strong relationship‑building, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of working with relevant WHS legislation (Acts, Regulations and Codes), with knowledge of Heavy Vehicle National Law and Chain of Responsibility advantageous.
