Engine Strip Technician (Afternoon Shift)
Job summary
An engineering recruitment agency is seeking a Mechanical Technician for an ongoing contract in Burton upon Trent. The role involves dismantling and re-assembling engines following manufacturer standards. Candidates should have their own transport due to site location and ideally possess an NVQ level 3 in motor repairs. An engineering background is required, with rail experience being advantageous. The work hours are from 2:30 PM to 1 AM, Monday to Thursday.
Qualifications

Responsibilities
- Dismantle and re-assemble engines according to standards.
- Strip and replace mechanical components as instructed.
- Collect new parts and distribute to correct engines.
- Jet wash engines after checks before leaving site.
- Mentor trainees/apprentices when applicable.
