Salary: £36194 - £42,582 (+ 7.5% (minimum) pay increase in July 2023)

About The Role
Working as a MOBs Riser Engineer, you will be help with the the installation, testing and commissioning of gas risers feeding medium and high rise multi occupancy buildings. You will provide visible front line engagement with colleagues, customers and key stakeholders to deliver the Cadent vision and culture and Cadent priorities of safety and compliance.

Day To Day

• Provides comprehensive support to the manager and team
• Leads and sets a good example and engage the team to achieve their goals, creating a safe working environment. Provides support, development, collaboration, and production of Key Performance Indicators
• Develops approaches to promote team member adherence to company regulations and performance goals.
• Broad knowledge of Cadent’s Core Policies and Procedures that impact the way we operate.
• Proactively ensure smooth team operations and effective collaboration.
• Proactively think ahead and plan with the ability to pre-empt team needs as they arise.
• Actively demonstrate and promote the Cadent Values, and positively contribute to a customer-oriented approach.
• Identify and implement process improvements/best practices.
• Be inquisitive with an interest in developing existing skill set and learning new skills.

• Ability to motivate staff to achieve targets in periods of high workload.
• Work closely with the Design Team, operational managers, and other Network Support teams to provide a joined-up service for the customer.
• Provide a customer orientated MOBS team, exceeding standards of service and customer’s expectations.
• Responsible for CDM compliance of all works.
• Ensure that projects are delivered safely, on time and to appropriate levels of performance

What You'll Bring

• Demonstrable and comprehensive knowledge, experience and understanding of installing, testing and commissioning of gas risers feeding medium and high rise multi occupancy buildings
• Demonstrable experience and delivery of engineering projects preferable within the gas industry
• Comprehensive knowledge of and understanding of gas plant and process systems
• Broad knowledge of Gas Distribution’s Core Processes
• Strong understanding of risk management principles and tools
• Strong understanding of HSE regulations relevant to role
• Strong understanding of Process Safety Principals
• Sound knowledge of Network Operations and SCO requirements
• Strong knowledge of engineering standards
