We are looking for an enthusiastic Audio‑Visual Event Technician to join our technical events team based in Birmingham. You'll be responsible for supporting a wide range of live, virtual and hybrid events from set‑up to breakdown, ensuring equipment operates smoothly and events deliver an exceptional experience.
- Set up, operate, test, and de‑rig AV, lighting, video and staging equipment for events.
- Transport and maintain AV inventory in workshop and on‑site.
- Troubleshoot technical faults before and during events to ensure seamless delivery.
- Work closely with event managers, production teams and clients to meet technical requirements.
- Always follow health & safety and electrical safety best practices.
- Provide out‑of‑hours support when required (evenings/weekends).
- Previous experience in live events, AV support, or production environments.
- Strong technical knowledge of audio, video, lighting and staging systems.
- Good problem‑solving and fault‑finding skills under pressure.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
- Flexible approach to work schedule (evenings/weekends/travel).
- Competitive salary: £27,000 - £33,000 p.a. (depending on experience).
