Job summary
A leading educational staffing agency is seeking a dedicated Unqualified Teaching Assistant in Darwen. We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Unqualified Teaching Assistant to join a supportive specialist education setting in Darwen. This is an agency-based position with a strong potential to move into a permanent role for the right candidate.
The successful applicant will work alongside teaching staff to support pupils with additional needs, helping them to engage in learning, build confidence and develop key skills. You will provide one-to‑one and small group support, assist with classroom routines and contribute to creating a calm, structured environment where every pupil can thrive.
- Supporting pupils with a range of learning and behavioural needs

- Providing targeted one-to‑one and group support
- Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation
- Working collaboratively with teachers and support staff
- Following individual support plans and school policies

- A patient, confident and compassionate approach
- Ability to build rapport and communicate effectively
- Reliability, adaptability and willingness to learn
- Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one
