HR Business Partner - Permanent - Newry

MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with an exciting organisation as they look to add an HR Business Partner to their team in Newry, on a full-time, temporary basis for 6 months.

This role will be heavily focused on Employee Relations and you will support a range of operational and transformational projects across the organisation.

The role:

You will manage employee relations issues, guide policy, foster engagement, and drive change initiatives, all while ensuring HR practices support overall business goals and create a positive organisational culture.

The main responsibilities:
  • Provide expert ER support across the organisation, managing a variety of employee relations cases.
  • Lead on consultations and organisational change projects with fairness and compliance.
  • Partner with unions and local site teams to deliver effective workforce solutions.
  • Advise managers and leadership teams on employment law and best practice.
  • Support annual pay review processes and contribute to business transformation initiatives.
  • Support with wider HR Generalist duties when needed.
The ideal candidate:
  • Solid ER background with experience of working in a unionised environment.
  • Skilled in consultations, redundancy processes, and complex casework.
  • Confident communicator, able to work with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Hands on practical experience and knowledge of NI employment law.
  • ROI law is advantageous.
  • CIPD Qualified.
