Job description

A client within the Public Sector based in Cambridgeshire is currently recruiting for a Cyclical Maintenance Officer to join their Green Team / Highways Maintenance Team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a highways and green infrastructure environment.

The Role

Key purpose of the role: To coordinate, administer and develop cyclical and planned maintenance programmes for green infrastructure assets across Cambridgeshire County Council's highway network.

Key responsibilities
  • Covering Green Team works and associated cyclical maintenance activities
  • CMO administration, coordination and follow-up of MGroup works programmes, including purchase order timelines
  • Entering and managing reporting via CRN and Aurora systems
  • Developing planned and proactive maintenance regimes for ongoing cyclical works
  • Supporting winter maintenance and gritting operations, including scheduling and potential out-of-hours working
The Candidate

To be considered for this role you will require the following essential qualifications and experience:

  • A relevant qualification in horticulture, arboriculture, countryside management, highways or a related discipline
  • Proven experience working within a local authority or public sector environment
  • A full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle

The below skills would be beneficial for the role:

  • Strong knowledge of green infrastructure maintenance including trees, hedges, verges, grass and Rights of Way
  • Experience working with asset management systems such as Aurora
  • Experience in winter maintenance and gritting operations

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £200 per day Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approx. £150 per day PAYE).
