Role description:
As our Highways and Aviation Project Management/Commercial Management sector continues to flourish, we are seeking a distinguished Associate Project Manager to lead pivotal projects for a prominent client. This role requires exceptional project leadership across multiple sites in the UK or within a single strategic location.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in civil engineering and extensive project management experience, particularly within the aviation sector.
With a dynamic and multifaceted workload, the role demands the ability to manage multiple directives simultaneously, with a clear focus on service delivery. The candidate must demonstrate confidence in direct client interactions and possess strong time management skills to meet deadlines, ensuring that time and cost forecasts align to maintain project profitability.
Role accountabilities:
  • Lead the planning and execution of medium to large-scale projects, ensuring optimal resource use and delivery within agreed scope, budget, and timelines.
  • Manage budgets and schedules independently, resolving variances and proactively mitigating risks to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Maintain transparent and collaborative communication with clients and stakeholders to align project progress with expectations and strategic objectives.
  • Provide guidance on compliance and governance to colleagues and teams, ensuring adherence to internal standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Review and analyse project processes using industry best practices, offering strategic recommendations for continuous improvement to senior management.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Civils engineering experience
  • Airports experience highly desirable
  • Experience of managing medium/high complexity projects
  • Proven ability to work in a collaborative team environment
  • MAPM or equivalent
