- Deliver engaging and accessible Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Break down complex scientific concepts into student-friendly explanations
- Support qualified teachers with planning, resourcing, and delivering the curriculum
- Create a calm and focused classroom environment that encourages curiosity
- Manage behaviour positively and consistently, with support from school staff
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to aid development
- Participate in CPD sessions and benefit from on-the-job training
- Graduates with a Science-related degree (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Biomedical Science, etc.)
- Individuals with experience in teaching, tutoring, or learning support (formal or informal)
- Passionate communicators with a genuine interest in education and young people
- Those considering formal teacher training routes such as PGCE, SCITT, or QTS Apprenticeships
- Applicants with an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- First-hand experience in a secondary school Science department
