Cover Supervisor

In this pivotal role, you will support teaching and learning across the school, ensuring pupils stay engaged, motivated, and on track to achieve their full potential.

What you’ll be doing
  • Supervise whole classes during teacher absence, ensuring work set is completed
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers
  • Respond to pupil queries and support lesson delivery
  • Maintain a positive and constructive learning environment
  • Support pupils’ emotional and social development, reporting concerns as needed
  • Assist teachers with classroom activities and academic interventions
  • Collaborate with the Behaviour Team to implement strategies and interventions
What we’re looking for
  • GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English at Functional Skills Level 2
  • A Level or equivalent Level 3 qualification, ideally with specialist skills or training in a curriculum area
  • Strong ICT skills with the ability to use technology to support learning
  • Knowledge and experience of inclusive education, behaviour management, and supporting pupils with SEN
  • Understanding of child development and safeguarding principles
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Ability to drive and hold a valid driving licence
