Test Systems Engineer required to help bring together test requirements, design, equipment, setup, and execution for rocket engines, specifically propellant control systems and pressurant feed systems.

Requirements

• Mechanical fitter with practical hands-on engineering skills.
• Chemical rocket engineering knowledge.
• Attention to detail.
• BSc degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical / Aerospace Engineering or Physics.
• Industrial experience ideally in designing and developing rocket engines, fluidic control systems, and space standard engineering.
• Spacecraft chemical propulsion experience would be useful but is not essential.
• General interest in space and space-related propulsion.

Role

• Review and interpret higher-level Test Plan requirements and propulsion system specifications.
• Design Verification Compliance Matrix against the test plan.
• Work on rocket engines and thrusters, fluidic control systems, and space standard engineering.
• Perform test equipment setup including key component identification.
• Work across Test Site Propellant, Pressurant feed systems, Ground Support Equipment, and Electrical Ground Support Equipment Design and software tools.
• Procure, fabricate, and assemble Test Site Propellant and Pressurant feed systems, GSE, and EGSE.
• Generate Test Procedures.
• Deliver test result data to design engineering teams.
