Job summary
A local family support service in Bodmin seeks two personal assistants for 13- and 15-year-old sisters. Responsibilities include providing 1:1 support, building confidence, and facilitating enjoyable activities in their lives. The role requires experience with young people and a driving license, with a pay rate of £12.60 per hour for up to 8 hours per fortnight. Flexible hours are essential for weekend and school holiday availability.

- Driver is essential; willing to drive a WAV is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 support for each young person, build positive relationships.
- Support activities to help develop trust and independence.
- Enable enjoyment of activities at home and in the community.
Skills
Two personal assistants are required to support 13-year-old and 15-year-old sisters living in Bodmin.
- Provide 1:1 support for each young person, build positive relationships, and help them to build confidence and self-esteem.
- Support the 13-year-old with activities she enjoys (music, makeup, social media) and help develop trust and independence.
- Support the 15-year-old with life skills development, confidence-building, and activities she enjoys (gaming; possible swimming and horse riding).
- Enable the young people to enjoy activities at home and in the local community.
- Some knowledge or personal experience of working with young people is essential.
- Driver is essential; for the 15-year-old, willing to drive a WAV; full driving licence desirable.
Up to 8 hours per fortnight for each role; flexible. Some weekend and school holiday availability will be required.
Rate of pay: £12.60 per hour.
