Job summary

A local support service in Northern Ireland is seeking an individual to assist a young man with mobility needs for 1.5 hours each morning. Responsibilities include helping with transfers on and off a shower chair, minimal assistance with dressing, and checking laundry appliances. Job description

This position is to assist a young man for 1.5 hours in the mornings with transfers on/off the shower chair. He then needs assistance to transfer off the shower chair and minimal assistance with drying and dressing.

Responsibilities

• Minimal assistance with dressing.
• Minimal assistance is also required to transfer into a wheelchair or bed.
• Washing machine and tumble dryer need to be checked and help with emptying the inside bin into the outside bin.

Skills and Qualifications

• Previous experience working with a spinal cord injury person who is now residing in a wheelchair - advance wheelchair use.
