Academics are excited to be recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and dynamic primary school in the Watford area. The school is actively seeking a talented Key Stage 1 Teacher to take on a Year 2 class for a maternity cover role starting in September 2025

Key Stage 1 Teacher (Year 2) - September 2025 Start

Position: Year 2 Teacher
Location: Watford Area
Contract Type: Full-Time, Fixed-Term
Salary: MPS3 to MPS6 ( 34,502 - 41,333, dependent on experience)
Start Date: September 2025

About the Role:

• Year Group: Year 2 - a pivotal year for developing core skills and preparing students for Key Stage 2.
• Full-Time Position: Working collaboratively with a strong and supportive team to provide an engaging and inclusive learning experience.
• Fixed-Term Contract: Covering a maternity leave until July 2026

What We're Looking For:

The ideal candidate will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have experience teaching Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2.
• Be a confident, creative, and enthusiastic educator.
• Demonstrate excellent classroom management and a passion for making a difference in children's lives.
• Have a strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and assessments.
