The Performance Academy is pleased to announce a rare opportunity to appoint two Acting Lecturers (minimum 25.9 hours up to 37hours) to programme lead our BA (Hons) Acting for Stage and Screen degree. Across the two appointments, we are seeking one specialist in Theatre / Acting for Stage and one specialist in Screen Acting to help shape and deliver an ambitious, industry-relevant Higher Education programme. These roles will take a lead responsibility for the design, delivery, and ongoing development of the BA (Hons) Acting curriculum. The successful candidates will deliver high-quality practical including directing and theoretical teaching, as well as other programme performance-based modules, and ensure the course reflects current professional practice across stage and screen. The roles also involve student mentoring, assessment, recruitment activity, and collaboration across the wider faculty. We are looking for experienced professional practitioners with a strong background in either theatre or screen acting, alongside experience of teaching within Higher Education. Candidates should demonstrate strong programme leadership skills, a commitment to inclusive and supportive learning environments, and a passion for developing emerging acting talent. A relevant degree is essential, with postgraduate or teaching qualifications desirable. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape a flagship undergraduate acting programme within a creative, supportive, and industry-connected academy, influencing the next generation of professional actors for stage and screen.
