Temporary Teacher of Religious Studies – Maternity Cover (One‑Year, to start April 2026)

Walthamstow School for Girls is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Teacher of Religious Studies. This temporary role is for a one‑year maternity cover and is suitable for an Early Career Teacher. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate creativity, excellent subject knowledge and a commitment to developing and maintaining high standards of teaching and learning at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team which continues to achieve excellent examination results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Religious Studies to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
  • Develop and deliver engaging lessons that employ creative approaches.
  • Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
Key Qualifications
  • Do have a genuine passion for teaching Religious Studies and enjoy sharing your enthusiasm for the subject with students.
