Job summary
A staffing agency is seeking a Configuration Engineer to deliver accurate IT configuration services and training will be provided. The role involves installing software, building systems, and performing data input. Ideal candidates should have a background in IT, strong communication skills, and a detailed-oriented approach. Located in Sandiacre, this position offers a rolling 3-month contract with a pay rate of ÂŁ14.25 per hour, with opportunities for overtime.

🕗 Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM or other shifts available
We’re looking for a Configuration Engineer to join our growing Configuration Department. In this role, you’ll deliver accurate and efficient IT configuration services, working on a variety of systems and projects. Full training will be provided for bespoke in-house systems.
- Install and configure software within existing IT infrastructures
- Build and configure systems following detailed scripts
- Perform manual data input (25–50% of the role) using spreadsheets
- Consolidate consignments for distribution
- Box/unbox IT equipment and support pallet movement
- Communicate progress and delays proactively
- Work to meet SLA targets and productivity goals
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Background in IT or technical support
- Data input experience with excellent attention to detail
- Flexible and adaptable approach
- Reliable team player with great time management
- Knowledge of IT components and hardware
