Job description

Who we are:

Want to make an impact? Join our pack and come work (and play!) with us.

We believe everyone deserves the unconditional love of a pet—and at Rover, our mission is to make it easier to experience that love. Founded in 2011, the Rover app and website connect dog and cat parents with loving pet sitters and dog walkers in neighborhoods across the US, Canada, and Europe. We empower our community of trusted pet sitters and dog walkers to run their own pet care businesses on Rover with the tools and security of a global company to back them.

Headquartered in Seattle, Washington, we work closely with our teams in Barcelona, San Antonio, Spokane, and remote locations. We’ve got a reputation for being a great place to work, having been named among the 100 Best Companies to Work For in Seattle Business Magazine and Washington’s Best Workplaces in the Puget Sound Business Journal. We're an agile, fast-growing company, and our leadership comes from some of the world's most respected tech companies.

At Rover, our furry coworkers are just as important as our human ones—and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Along with making the joys of pet parenthood more accessible, we’re committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and welcoming community of pet people—and that starts with our employees.

This position is based in Barcelona. The candidate will need to reside in or relocate to Barcelona. Relocation support and visa sponsorship is offered for this role.

Meet the team:

Our growing team of four (soon five!) Application Analysts support CRM, ERP, and other applications Rover relies upon to coordinate our customer contacts and satisfy our financial reporting obligations. Our current tech stack is Zendesk for core CRM and the NetSuite OneWorld ERP. All of our supported apps are multi-tenant and cloud-based, i.e. no on-prem servers. This team has the opportunity to work with a broad cross-section of Rover teams on projects that really make a difference.

Who we're looking for:

This role focuses on providing support and maintenance of NetSuite and adjacent apps. A successful candidate will be able to act directly, at a high skill level, to resolve technical issues, coordinate the implementation of new features and functionality, and collaborate with our partner teams in leading or making significant contributions to projects/initiatives with potentially company-wide impact. The position requires a highly qualified, self-motivated employee with a love for tool optimization, and a drive for efficiency and process improvement.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and daily management of NetSuite, including general system administration
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of business application functionality, customization, and integrations
  • Build and support business intelligence dashboards with NetSuite data, saved searches in NetSuite, and other operational reports reliant on NetSuite data
  • Maintain and update custom fields, forms, records, lists, scripts, and workflows to meet business needs; coordinate User Acceptance testing tasks
  • Build, implement, and maintain proper system permissions access for all roles
  • Provide front-line support for all users with consideration for all aspects of NetSuite, data maintenance, and other business applications
  • Serve as the sole point of contact for NetSuite support and all third party integrated app partners
  • Collaborate and partner with internal teams to ensure the design and functionality of NetSuite is driving value and efficiency for the organization
  • Review system upgrades to evaluate the impact on processes, configurations, and customizations
  • Have a thorough understanding of business processes including Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, Fixed Assets, and Record to Report
  • Maintain NetSuite SuiteFlow & Advanced Approvals
  • Analyze complicated problems and requests and provide recommendations on how NetSuite can be used to address them
  • Provide thought leadership to Finance team and internal product roadmaps, as well as flagging opportunities to increase our platforms’ usability, efficiency, and scalability
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to less experienced team members, helping them grow in understanding, in their role and along their career path
  • Cross-train and support other system needs across the team

Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a technical or business field preferred
  • 5 years direct experience administering and optimizing NetSuite for a multi-national company, public company experience preferred
  • Curious, creative, and dedicated technologist with well-honed project management, multitasking, prioritization, and communication skills
  • Road-tested ability to apply technology to resolving practical business problems
  • Adept at balancing attention to detail with expeditious execution in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong prioritization skills, able to re-prioritize as needed in response to evolving business needs
  • Outstanding teammate with a customer- and solution-focused demeanor
  • Adept at understanding business processes and translating business requirements into application functionality, including the ability to effectively and compassionately seek clarity from non-technical collaborators

Nice to Haves:

  • NetSuite certifications (e.g. NetSuite Administrator Certification or NetSuite ERP Consultant Certification)
