A recruitment agency based in Barnsley is seeking an experienced Software Developer to work in a hybrid model. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining PHP applications, enhancing JavaScript features, and managing MariaDB databases. Applicants should have strong PHP and JavaScript skills, experience handling live systems, and a good understanding of security practices. This role requires a thoughtful approach to code maintenance and stability.
You'll be joining as an experienced developer, working on live systems, handling sensitive data, maintaining reliable workflows, and making sure the software does what users need it to do without getting in the way.
This isn't a role where you just pick up tickets and move on. You'll be expected to think about how the system hangs together, improve existing code, and help keep things stable as changes are made.
