Job summary
A leading contractor in Oxfordshire is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to enhance their commercial team. With a focus on D&B, new build, and refurbishment projects in sectors such as Education and Healthcare, this permanent role offers a competitive salary and the chance to work on significant projects valued up to £16m. Ideal candidates will possess a degree and relevant experience, showcasing their capabilities in managing complex commercial responsibilities.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years’ experience with a reputable Main Contractor.
- Experience with D&B projects and both new build and refurbishment schemes.
- Familiar with the Education, Healthcare, and Commercial sectors.
Responsibilities
- Support the commercial team with project management tasks.
- Work on projects valued around £10m across various sectors.
- Ensure efficient delivery of high-quality projects.

I have a great opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join an award-winning Main Contractor on a permanent basis, based out of their Oxford region.
The company operate throughout central and southern England, delivering quality D&B, new build, refurbishment and restoration projects up to £16m in value.
They have been around for many years and have formed successful long-term partnerships with their clients by delivering efficient, high quality projects. The work in a number of sectors including Education, Healthcare, Restoration, Commercial, Industrial and Sports and Leisure.
Due to an increased workload, they are looking to strengthen their commercial team by bringing in an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial team. Project values are on average circa £10m.
The ideal person will have at least 2 years’ experience, be familiar with D&B projects, will have worked on both new build and refurbishment schemes and ideally covered projects within the Education, Healthcare and Commercial sectors.
Experience:
- Ideally Degree Qualified
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working for a reputable Main Contractor
- Ideally experienced working on D&B projects
- Ideally new build and refurbishment experience
- Track record working on projects in the Education, Healthcare and Commercial sectors
- Full UK Drivers’ license
- Able to commute to Oxford on a daily basis
