**Job Summary**

The SEO Content Specialist is responsible for supporting the development and execution of SEO strategies to improve our website’s search engine rankings and drive organic traffic. Responsibilities include but are not limited to conducting keyword research, reviewing content, editing, optimizing web content, and analyzing performance metrics.

**Essential Functions of the Role**

• Review and edit web content and other media assets to ensure they meet SEO best practices and performance standards.

• Create content outlines based on research and established processes, using critical thinking to develop clear, accurate recommendations.

• Conduct preliminary keyword research to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats that guide website optimization and content strategy.

• Assist in optimizing web pages and blog posts by refining meta tags, headers, image attributes, and URLs to support organic search performance.

• Collaborate with writers and editors to ensure all content is search-optimized and aligned with target keywords and user intent.

• Use SEO and analytic tools to monitor and report on website performance and key metrics.

• Employ analytical skills to interpret SEO data, turning raw data into actionable insights that drive strategy adjustments and optimizations.

• Compile relevant data across various reporting platforms to measure the effectiveness of SEO efforts and provide performance insights on an ongoing and ad-hoc basis to our stakeholders. Provide insight into opportunities to reoptimize website content for additional or improved rankings.

• Learn internal SEO processes and integrate them with existing knowledge to support scalable, high-impact SEO efforts.

• Stay up to date with the latest SEO trends, algorithm changes, and industry best practices to continuously enhance your skills and knowledge.

**Key Success Factors**

• Familiarity with SEO platforms like: SEMRush, Brightedge, and Google Search Console

• Familiarity with basic publisher KPIs and analytics platforms like Google Analytics

• Must be detail-oriented with k nowledge of AP style and ability to write and edit to specific editorial guidelines

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality

**QUALIFICATIONS**

+ EDUCATION - Bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, English, communications, business, or a related field

+ EXPERIENCE - 2 Years of Experience

+ Previous experience or internships in SEO, content strategy, digital marketing, or related field is a plus

+ Experience in AP-style editorial or content roles a plus
