Job summary
A security services provider is seeking full-time security officers for Edinburgh Airport. The role involves patrolling, monitoring CCTV, and responding to incidents. Essential skills include strong observational, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Flexible shifts are available with competitive pay rates for day, night, and weekend work. This is a permanent position with guaranteed hours.
Qualifications
- Ability to notice potential threats or suspicious behaviour.
- Clear and effective communication, both written and verbal.
- Ability to quickly assess situations and make sound decisions.
- Ability to de-escalate tense situations and find peaceful solutions.
- Familiarity with security equipment and computer applications.
- Ability to patrol and stand for extended periods.
- Maintaining a calm and courteous presence.
Responsibilities
- Regularly inspecting buildings and access points.
- Observing CCTV cameras to identify potential threats.
- Checking identification and logging entries/exits.
- Investigating alarms and handling emergencies.
- Ensuring compliance with security policies.
- Maintaining logs and writing incident reports.
Skills
We are looking for a number of full time security officers to start work at Edinburgh Airport.
Multiple locations available
Permanent work offered.
Day , night and weekend shifts available
You can choose to work days or just nights + weekends
Day shifts 8 am till 6 pm or 8 am till 8 pm paying £20.50 hour
Night shifts 8 pm till 8 am paying £22.50 hour
Weekends and overtime paid at £25.50 hour
We pay weekly every Friday.
45-60 hours per week guaranteed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patrolling and Securing: Regularly inspecting buildings, perimeters, and access points to ensure they are secure and free from hazards.
- Monitoring Surveillance Systems: Observing CCTV cameras and other security systems to identify and respond to potential threats or unusual activity.
- Controlling Access: Checking identification, logging entries and exits, and regulating access to restricted areas.
- Responding to Incidents: Investigating alarms, handling emergencies, and taking appropriate action to address safety or security concerns.
- Enforcing Regulations: Ensuring compliance with security policies and procedures, and resolving conflicts or disturbances.
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintaining logs, writing incident reports, and communicating any irregularities to the appropriate personnel.
