An established and growing organisation is seeking a Junior / Graduate Buyer to join its procurement team. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or someone at an early stage of their buying or commercial career who is looking to gain hands‑on experience across a variety of projects.
The successful candidate will be supported by experienced Buyers and will receive structured training to develop their knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and commercial operations.
- Assist with day-to-day procurement activities across multiple projects
- Support Buyers with issuing enquiries and obtaining supplier quotations
- Help prepare purchase orders and maintain procurement documentation
- Liaise with suppliers regarding pricing, availability, and delivery dates
- Track orders and assist in ensuring timely delivery of materials and services
- Maintain accurate records within procurement systems
- Support cost reporting and basic commercial administration
- Learn and follow company procurement procedures and best practices
- Degree or qualification in a relevant subject (e.g. Business, Supply Chain, Commercial, Construction, Engineering) or relevant work experience
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Good communication skills and a professional approach
- Willingness to learn and develop within procurement and buying
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- A positive attitude with attention to detail
