Job Overview

An established and growing organisation is seeking a Junior / Graduate Buyer to join its procurement team. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or someone at an early stage of their buying or commercial career who is looking to gain hands‑on experience across a variety of projects.

The successful candidate will be supported by experienced Buyers and will receive structured training to develop their knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and commercial operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with day-to-day procurement activities across multiple projects
  • Support Buyers with issuing enquiries and obtaining supplier quotations
  • Help prepare purchase orders and maintain procurement documentation
  • Liaise with suppliers regarding pricing, availability, and delivery dates
  • Track orders and assist in ensuring timely delivery of materials and services
  • Maintain accurate records within procurement systems
  • Support cost reporting and basic commercial administration
  • Learn and follow company procurement procedures and best practices
Skills & Experience Required
  • Degree or qualification in a relevant subject (e.g. Business, Supply Chain, Commercial, Construction, Engineering) or relevant work experience
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • Good communication skills and a professional approach
  • Willingness to learn and develop within procurement and buying
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • A positive attitude with attention to detail
