A childcare organization in Grays seeks a Responsible Individual to lead its children's residential home specializing in complex care. This senior role demands strategic oversight in compliance with Ofsted regulations and delivering high-quality care. Successful candidates will have significant leadership experience in children's services, strong governance knowledge, and be adept at motivating teams. The position offers flexibility and a daily rate of £450, along with opportunities for professional growth.
Karisla Healthcare is seeking an experienced and values-driven Responsible Individual (RI) to provide strategic leadership and governance oversight for its newly re-purposed children’s residential home specialising in complex care. This is a senior, influential role and a key appointment within the organisation, ensuring the service operates to the highest standards of care, compliance, and safeguarding in line with Ofsted regulations.
This opportunity offers professional autonomy, flexible working arrangements, and the chance to play a pivotal role in shaping a high-quality service from its early stages through registration and beyond. You will work closely with the Registered Manager, Directors, and wider senior leadership team to establish strong foundations, embed best practice, and drive continuous improvement.
As Responsible Individual, you will provide clear strategic direction and leadership, ensuring the home consistently meets regulatory, legislative, and organisational requirements. You will hold oversight of governance arrangements, quality assurance processes, and safeguarding practice, while supporting the Registered Manager to deliver outstanding care and outcomes for children and young people with complex needs.
You will take a lead role in Ofsted registration and inspections, ensuring the service is fully prepared, compliant, and confident in demonstrating safe, effective, and child-centred practice. Acting as a key link between the service, directors, and external stakeholders, you will ensure transparency, accountability, and robust decision-making at all levels.
We are seeking a confident, reflective leader with a proven track record in senior leadership within children’s residential services. You will have a strong understanding of governance, safeguarding, and regulatory compliance, and the ability to influence and motivate senior teams.
Karisla Limited is a forward-thinking organisation committed to delivering exceptional outcomes for children with complex needs. We recognise the value of experienced leadership and offer an environment where your expertise will be respected and supported.
If you are an experienced and motivated professional ready to lead with integrity and shape the future of a children’s residential service, we would love to hear from you.
