Technical Incoming Inspector - Belfast (Onsite)
  • Paid overtime: 25% uplift Mon-Fri and 50% uplift Sat-Sun.

Location: Belfast - Full onsite requirement
Contract Duration: Until November 2026 (with strong likelihood of extension)

About the Role

Carbon60 are looking for an experienced Technical Incoming Inspector to join their client's leading aerospace organisation on a long‑term contract. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring that all incoming products meet strict quality, safety and compliance standards before entering the manufacturing and assembly process. This is a hands‑on, quality‑focused role ideal for professionals with an electrical or mechanical background who thrive in a fast‑paced engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform inspection, quality control and quality assurance activities on incoming parts and materials.
  • Verify compliance with design specifications, customer requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Provide technical guidance to operators when required.
  • Monitor the Delegated Operator Scheme and ensure compliance.
  • Compile technical reports to highlight any drawing, tooling or process discrepancies.
  • Collaborate effectively within inspection and production teams.
Requirements
  • Completed a recognised electrical or mechanical apprenticeship.
  • Minimum 2 years' post‑apprenticeship experience in an aerospace, manufacturing, assembly or tooling environment.
  • Strong understanding of quality control procedures.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly practices within an engineering setting.
  • Confident written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with 3D metrology.
Working Pattern
  • 35 hours per week across 4.5 days.
  • Working hours between 07:00-19:00, set at business discretion.
