Role Overview
The Project Risk Manager will develop processes and standards, lead the project risk management function, and ensure effective risk management across large-scale offshore wind projects. Collaborating with project teams and corporate functions, you will be the key point for qualitative and quantitative risk analysis.
Key Responsibilities - Corporate
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive risk management framework aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and assess risks related to offshore wind project development.
- Conduct regular risk assessments with corporate functions and managers.
- Work with senior management to understand and mitigate critical risks.
- Coordinate risk mitigation measures with internal departments and external advisors.
- Provide risk management training and guidance to staff.
- Review and audit risk processes to ensure effectiveness and compliance.
- Support continuous improvement of the business management system (BMS) and promote adherence to HSEQS policies.
- Mentor the risk team for professional development.
Key Responsibilities - Project Support
- Lead the development and implementation of project risk management processes.
- Facilitate project risk workshops and develop risk registers.
- Perform quantitative risk analysis on project schedules and costs.
- Establish risk mitigation strategies.
- Ensure risk management processes are fit for purpose through regular reviews.
- Integrate risk insights into project reports and decision-making.
- Manage monthly risk reviews and maintain accurate risk registers.
- Set standards for contractor risk reporting.
- Promote data-driven approaches to improve project delivery efficiency.
Person Specification
- Degree in risk management or a related field.
- Proven offshore wind risk management experience.
- Experience with industry tools like Primavera Risk Analysis, Safran Risk.
- Knowledge of Schedule and Cost Risk Analysis, Quantitative Risk Assessment.
- Strong problem-solving, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
- Understanding of project controls and offshore wind industry specifics.
- Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., IRM, APM).
- Experience leading or mentoring teams.
