A little more about your role:

WSP's Mining discipline is looking for a Project Manager to join the team. This role will oversee all stages of project life cycles, focusing on engineering, science, and environmental consulting. You'll work on mine engineering design, permitting, field investigations, numerical modeling, and more, ensuring successful project delivery alongside our technical managers.

Areas of responsibility would include the following:

GENERAL

1. Single point of contact for projects.
2. Oversees project execution from concept to implementation.
3. Assembles and coordinates project teams, which may be multi-disciplinary and spread across regions.
4. Identifies, monitors, and mitigates risks.
5. Ensures understanding of HSSE requirements.
6. Manages project quality across various disciplines.
7. Provides regular Project updates to the Project Director and other stakeholders.
8. Oversees project closure.

SCOPE AND SCHEDULE

1. Develops project scope and Work Breakdown Structure.
2. Adheres to and updates project schedules.
3. Supervises and manages scope changes.
4. Communicates with clients about change orders.
5. Manages schedule changes and resource planning.

COST

1. Creates and oversees project budgets.
2. Develops budgets with subcontractors and partners.
3. Manages project expenditures.
4. Manages project invoicing.

PROCUREMENT

1. Manages project contracts for sub-consultants, contractors, and vendors.
2. Develops procurement plans and conducts supplier evaluations and negotiations.

What we will be looking for you to demonstrate:

1. Required: PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.
2. Required: Proven experience successfully delivering Multi-disciplinary Projects within the earth or mining industry.
3. Desirable: Experience delivering projects with fieldwork or construction elements.
4. Desirable: Experience delivering international Projects.
5. Desirable: Experience with PM Tools and Programs (e.g., MS Project, Oracle ERP, Ineight, ACC).
6. Desirable: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science.
