This website is operated, hosted and managed by Williams Lea Limited, 3 Savannah Way, Leeds LS10 1AB, United Kingdom.

Salary: £34,500 per annum, plus company benefits

Contract: Full Time, Fixed Term contract for 6 months

Shifts: 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 9am-6pm with 1 hour break or 9am-5:30pm with half hour break

Work model: Hybrid, 3 days in office and 2 from home

Williams Lea seeks a Graphic Designer to join our team!

Purpose of role

The Graphic Designer will be a dynamic graphic designer joining a Creative team, based at in Leeds, supporting our client, a leading global law firm based in London. The Designer will work on a variety of print and digital projects. Using InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator, this role requires you to work at pace with keen attention to detail. As the Designer you will use your eye for detail and software knowledge to produce and deliver projects including business brochures, advertising, press inserts, web graphics, infographics and a variety of other print-based design work from brief through to print.

We are looking for someone with a ‘can-do’ attitude, willing to put forward ideas and have a keen eye for detail. Ensuring that all work sent out is to the highest standard and within brand guidelines. The candidate should be an extremely organised and dedicated individual with strong communications skills.

The work is very fast moving and often requires the application of judgement. You will be required to interpret numerous client instructions and translate those requirements into ‘branded’ concepts and final designs, which work in both the digital and print spaces.

Key responsibilities

  • Advising clients on print, layout, branding and deadlines
  • Production of high-quality print and digital materials, including multimedia or complex powerpoint
  • Art working including photo editing
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to project timelines and deadlines
  • Ensure compliance with brand guidelines, legal requirements, and industry standards
  • Regular interaction with clients, as well as close collaboration with your creative colleagues, bringing a breadth of creativity and innovation to the team
  • Working in a highly compliant environment, you will provide a seamless service that surpasses client briefs, whilst ensuring the delivery of on-brand creative material
  • Building strong client relationships with key stakeholders and relevant support teams, as is your ability to win client work and grow your service
  • Quality checking high-quality design, artwork within Client brand guidelines and to approved briefs and timescales

Personal attributes

  • Must have 3-5 years experience in a Graphic Designer role
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent in graphic design
  • Indepth understanding of print and design processes
  • Excellent typography and layout skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud – InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Advanced knowledge of Powerpoint
  • Experience creating and editing iPDF documents
  • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS would be an advantage
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Strong organisation skills and the ability to prioritise effectively
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines whilst under pressure
  • Must be able to work on their own initiative
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Creative and original, able to generate unique and visually compelling designs
  • Passion for design with a desire to stay up to date on industry trends and constantly looking for ways to improve skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, ensuring precision in layouts, typography and colour choices
  • Adaptability – Able to adjust to different design styles, trends, and client needs
  • Strong communication skills and ability to effectively translate ideas into visuals
  • Able to find creative solutions to design challenges
  • Excellent time management, able to manage multiple projects and efficiently meet deadlines
  • Self-motivated - able to work independently and take ownership of projects
  • Resilient and receptive to feedback.
