Overview

We are looking to recruit a 6 Hour Prescription Delivery Driver on a permanent contract to work between at our 775-branch located at 8 Eastland Road, Thornbury, Bristol, BS35 1DS. The required working hours are: Tuesday 14:00-17:00 and Friday 14:00-17:00. This role requires an individual who is flexible, has great people skills and the desire to provide a professional service standard to both our customers and the Pharmacy Teams. You will deliver prescription items to private houses, nursing and residential homes, while maintaining a high standard of customer service and acting as an ambassador for the Cohens brand.

Responsibilities

Your main responsibility will be to promptly and conscientiously deliver prescription items within the designated time. You must work under pressure to meet the required timeframes and ensure deliveries align with the company’s regulated procedures. You will be required to plan and print daily routes in branch before starting deliveries and use your own vehicle for this role, ensuring your insurance allows for business use. You may also assist with PR activities to increase business. You will be expected to deliver a high standard of service as part of a well-established team and ensure customers receive excellent service.

Requirements and Conditions

You should have very basic computer skills to plan and print routes. You must have access to a vehicle suitable for business use and be prepared to provide documentation of insurance coverage. The Company will consider contributing to the business aspect of your insurance upon receipt of documentation showing any increased premium.

Compensation and Benefits

Reimbursement for mileage undertaken on business journeys will be at 40p per mile up to 10,000 miles, after which 25p per mile will be reimbursed as per HMRC guidelines. Fuel receipts should be obtained for each visit to the petrol station and the mileage claim submitted on a weekly basis. The following benefits may be available to the successful candidate: discretionary bonus scheme; 4 weeks' paid holiday, plus statutory holidays (pro-rata for part-time employees); EAP provided by BUPA; pension contributions; staff discount; regulatory training where required; free uniform (black polo shirt, black fleece, high-visibility vest, high-visibility jacket) with employees sourcing smart dark trousers and shoes/boots.
