A leading renewable energy company based in Leeds seeks an experienced Electrical Design Manager to lead a new engineering team on utility-scale BESS projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong HV background and experience managing teams. Responsibilities include overseeing design capabilities, conducting feasibility studies, and managing projects across various renewable technologies. This role offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement and the chance to work with a pioneering company in the sustainability sector.

This company is one of the leading renewable energy & energy efficiency companies with over offices worldwide and continuing their expansion into mainland Europe. They are emerging as one of the fastest growing sustainability companies in this sector, whilst maintaining an impressively low staff turnover of an extremely high skilled team.
- Leading design capability for HV and ICP projects, including equipment sizing, layout, FEED, programme management etc
- Managing a highly skilled team of Electrical and Controls design engineers working on renewable energy projects including utility scale Solar and BESS.
- Conduct feasibility studies, technical and financial analysis and energy modelling (EPC, PPA, Eaas etc)
- Flexible hybrid working model – Site visits required
- Experienced a Senior Electrical Design Engineer or Design Manager
- Worked with High Voltage, Power Systems, BESS, Solar, ICP projects etc
- Experience working for DNO / DSO or design consultancy would be beneficial
- Relevant Engineering Degree
