The Senior Manufacturing Engineering Strategy Leader - Electrical Power plays a pivotal role in driving excellence in manufacturing processes at GE Aerospace. This position is all about leadership, innovation, and collaboration. As a Consulting Manufacturing Engineer, you'll lead efforts to optimise manufacturing operations, ensuring the highest standards of product quality while championing continuous improvement initiatives.
You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, sharing your expertise and mentoring engineers to foster growth and development. By implementing lean manufacturing principles and leveraging GE Aerospace's proprietary FLIGHT DECK operating system, you'll help enhance efficiency, improve quality, and reduce costs-directly contributing to the company's mission of delivering world-class aerospace solutions.
To excel in this role, you'll need a strong background in manufacturing engineering, ideally electrical power systems. Key skills include expertise in lean manufacturing methodologies, problem-solving, and process optimisation. Experience in mentoring and leading teams is essential, as is the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse functions. A deep understanding of electrical power systems and their manufacturing requirements would be highly beneficial, along with a commitment to safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC)-the pillars of GE Aerospace's operations.
This position is part of GE Aerospace Consulting Manufacturing Engineering (CME) Office, a specialised group that focuses on driving technical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement in manufacturing engineering processes. The CME Office is composed of highly experienced engineers who hold the prestigious Consulting Engineer Controlled Title Holder status, which is a recognition of their deep technical expertise, leadership, and contributions to the company
