A Senior Night Coach (Waking Nights Residential Support Worker) at SuperCare provides calm, consistent leadership overnight for young people who present with complex learning disabilities and associated conditions/syndromes such as: Smith-Magenis Syndrome, congenital hypopituitarism, global developmental delay, sensory processing differences, SEMH difficulties, and disrupted attachment. The home is rated 'Good' by Ofsted and is looking to continue its journey towards 'Outstanding'. During the night, children are often at their most vulnerable. You'll ensure they feel safe and supported, while guiding the night team to respond with empathy and professionalism.

No two days are the same in this home however there are some strong routines. We look for all adults in our homes to be able to support as below:

• Support in the leading of night shifts, mentoring Junior Night Coaches and ensuring high-quality care.
• Support children experiencing sleep disruption, impulsivity, or emotional crises.
• Respond calmly and consistently to self-injury or aggression, ensuring children are safe and reassured.
• Monitor health needs, oversee medication, and record key information.
• Provide reflective supervision to Night Coaches, supporting their development.
• Hand over effectively to the day team so children experience continuity of care.

We're looking for adults with some previous experience supporting young people with complex needs, ideally in a care setting:

• At least 2 years' experience in residential or SEN care.
• Level 3 Diploma in Children's Care (or equivalent).
• Confident managing night-time behaviours linked to genetic syndromes and trauma.
• Resilient leader who can remain composed when others are not.
• Relational, reflective, and committed to therapeutic care.
• Experience with supporting developmental trauma, attachment difficulties, sensory processing difficulties, complex medical needs.

The young people in this home are incredibly energetic and active! Therefore you should be able to physically and mentally engage in a wide range of activities.
