Job summary
A nonprofit organization in the Merseyside area is seeking a part-time Support Worker to assist Deaf and Deaf-Blind adults in their daily lives. The role involves providing support within the community and fostering independence. Support Worker – Merseyside Area
Hours: Part time, 25 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £15,600 per annum

You will deliver a person-centred service that helps make everyday life easier for our clients, supporting them in their homes and communities. If you are dedicated, compassionate, and excited about this rewarding role, we’d love to receive an application from you!
- Support clients to live independently in the community

- Assist clients with accessing services and activities
- Assist clients with translation of letters and telephone calls
- Experienced in Deafblind communication skills
- Ability to guide Deafblind clients
- Cheerful and patient attitude to work
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- British Sign Language skills
- Understanding of safeguarding
- Driver with access to a car, which is insured for business use
- BSL Level 2 qualification
- Training and development opportunities
- 27 Days of Annual Leave increasing to 32 days per year after 5 years’ service (pro-rata for part-time employees)
