About The Role
FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Pensions Business Analyst to work for our client within the finance sector. This is initially a 6-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role that will be based in London.
Our client is seeking an experienced Pensions Business Analyst to join our team to support the design, analysis, and implementation of pension-related systems and processes. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders to understand pension scheme requirements, interpret legislation and policy, and ensure accurate delivery of solutions that meet business needs. The ideal candidate will identify opportunities to improve business processes and recommend changes that can lead to increased efficiency and effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Understanding business and client needs in our BPA (Bulk Purchase Annuity)offering and translating them into technical requirements that can be implemented by our technology teams
- Consulting with our clients to effectively communicate findings, recommendations, and complex technical concepts in a clear, client-friendly manner
- Be an expert in BPA systems, process and technology to effectively communicate with technical teams and assess the feasibility of solutions
- Responsible for documenting business requirements, process flows, and technical specifications to ensure clarity and consistency
- Develop and present recommendations for solutions that address the client's needs and improve performance
- Undertake a full requirements process from either a functional or non-functional perspective, ensuring the value of the features being requested links with the overall objective and organised into priority to aid delivery
- Taking a holistic approach of considering People, Process and organisational structure when evaluating requirements and not just the IT needs
- Collaborate with various stakeholders, including clients, internal teams, other Client Directors and the Leadership team
About You
Requirements
- Strong analytical skills with experience in business process analysis, applications, and systems
- Experience in the occupational pensions industry, especially implementation, data or systems aspects would be an advantage
- Ability to identify problems, develop solutions, and implement them effectively
- Technical background with experience working with IT & technology stakeholders
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and exposure to working with software engineering teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey findings and recommendations
- Ability to document and interpret requirements effectively
- Experience in reviewing operational resilience and investigating technical and operational performance
- Ability to map out products and services, both internal and external
