Qualifications

  • Experience in handling specialty claims matters in sectors such as Aviation, A&H, credit risk, Marine & Energy.
  • Prior experience working within the Reinsurance or insurance legal industry.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategies and processes for the Claims operation to meet business targets.
  • Assist in forecasting Claims activity through business analysis.
  • Handle own caseload efficiently for timely resolution of reinsurance Claims.
  • Resolve customer service issues promptly.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships with re-insured and brokers.
  • Approve reinsurance claims per authority levels.

Time Type: Full time Worker Type: Employee The purpose of this role is manage assumed reinsurance excess of loss and proportional business from QBE Reinsurance's casualty book, ensuring proper reporting of all claims following reinsurance contract terms.

Your new role
  • Contribute to the development of appropriate strategies, processes, and procedures for the Claims operation to support the delivery of business targets.
  • Assist in the forecast of Claims activity through analysis of business levels and knowledge of the Claims environment to support decision-making.
  • Maintain efficient handling of own caseload to ensure the prompt, timely, and effective handling of reinsurance Claims on the London market.
  • Resolve customer service issues to ensure their prompt and timely resolution.
  • Develop and maintain good client relationships with the re-insured and brokers.
  • Approve reinsurance claims within written authority levels.
