A healthcare trust in the United Kingdom is looking for a People (HR) Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting staff and management, overseeing employee relations, and improving recruitment and retention strategies. This role offers development opportunities within a fast-paced environment and requires excellent communication and negotiation skills. The role supports hybrid working arrangements and will involve contributing to various HR initiatives across the trust.
An exciting permanent opportunity has arisen to join a fantastic team of People professionals, currently based at Northumbria House (Cobalt Business Park) in the role of People (HR) Manager. We are seeking a motivated, conscientious, and experienced People Professional to work within our fast-paced and supportive Operational People Team.
This role is pivotal in supporting the provision of a high-quality People service that is focussed on supporting staff, colleagues and managers across the organisation to achieve outcomes in line with the vision and values of the Trust.
The successful post holder will be required to work at other sites within the Trust on a regular basis. Blended/agile/hybrid and flexible working are supported by the Trust.
You will manage the performance of a discrete section of the People Department, providing highly specialist advice, People and OD Consultancy services to the organisation.
To ensure the provision of an integrated, efficient and effective HR Management service to all staff and managers within designated directorates. To develop the management capability of line managers, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to handle staff management responsibilities.
To contribute to the formulation, agreement and delivery of the Human Resources/Organisational Development Strategy and Action Plan by providing a high quality service to ensure the organisation meets a range of key performance indicators.
To role model compassionate and inclusive leadership in order to shape the creation of a collective leadership culture within the trust.
We manage three major locality hospitals at North Tyneside, Wansbeck and Hexham, plus a number of smaller community hospitals and clinics from Tynemouth to Berwick on Tweed, in addition to our state-of-the-art Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital, the first of its kind in England. We also care for people in their homes and provide services from facilities in local communities such as health centres. We give people greater choice and control over their care to help them to live independently at home and avoid hospital admission where appropriate. The successful candidate will act as a People (HR) Manager aligned to a designated area within the Trust.
