Registered Nurse | Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust

Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust
Tonbridge, Deal, Herne Bay, Faversham
GBP 30,000 - 40,000
Job description

Are you a highly motivated and dedicated Registered Nurse seeking a rewarding role where you can truly make a difference in patient care?

We are looking for dedicated Nurses to join our Community Hospitals teams across Kent. You’ll oversee the holistic care provided to patients, provide leadership by maintaining clinical standards, and may take charge of the ward in the absence of senior staff. Our units predominantly provide rehabilitation and end-of-life support for palliative patients and their families.

You'll work closely with patients, families, and a multi-professional team including doctors, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists. You'll contribute to a culture of excellence and be part of a team committed to providing safe, effective services and a positive patient experience. Join our organisation and help us deliver the best care!

We have opportunities at the following locations,
• Faversham Cottage Hospital, ME13 8PS
• Hawkhurst Community Hospital, TN18 4PU
• Queen Victoria Memorial Hospital, Herne Bay, CT6 6EB
• Tonbridge Cottage Hospital, TN11 0NE
• Victoria Hospital, Deal, CT14 9UA
• West View Hospital, Tenterden TN30 6TX
• Whitstable and Tankerton Hospital, CT5 2HN

Please indicate in the supporting statement of your application form your 1st, 2nd and 3rd preference of Hospital locations.

Driving may be required for these roles as you may be asked to travel to other sites to provide support to your community hospital colleagues if and when needed.

It's never been a better time to join our brilliant teams across Kent, with more emphasis on community-based care. Our flexible and compassionate colleagues care for patients within a community hospital setting, supporting them to leave hospital and live a happy and healthy life at home. We treat the whole person, not just the condition, through practitioner-led and therapy-focused work. Caring for people in the community requires specialist knowledge and skills, which we will develop through our excellent educational opportunities, ranging from degrees to apprenticeship schemes.

We expect you to maintain high clinical standards, use evidence-based practises, and contribute to continuous improvement. You will manage a caseload of patients with complex needs.

You’ll be responsible and accountable for the holistic care provided to patients. You will carry out assessments, develop integrated care packages, support junior staff, and actively participate in a multi-professional team to ensure high quality care is provided to our patients. You will be expected to participate in 24-hour internal rotation and move to other community hospital sites to cover the needs of the service.

We welcome flexible working arrangements and offer a variety of work-life balance initiatives.

We have vacancies across our Community hospitals in Kent. If you would like to discuss this role please contact Kerenza Boulton 07392864207 or Katie Kennerell 07896464816.
