Salary: Voluntary position with reimbursement for reasonable out-of-pocket expenses.
Paddle UK is seeking two Independent Non-Executive Directors with specific expertise in finance and digital transformation.
The Independent Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Finance & Audit Committee will chair the committee, which meets four times per year. They will provide oversight and scrutiny of budgeting, financial policies, procedures, and controls, as well as support the preparation and presentation of year-end accounts.
The person will hold a recognised accountancy qualification from either the ICAEW, CIMA, ACCA or CIPFA with significant, current or recent experience in finance, senior management and ideally previous Board experience.
With expertise in digital transformation and IT, this person will provide strategic oversight, ensuring that the organisation's digital and IT strategies align with its overall objectives and support long-term goals.
These voluntary positions offer reimbursement for reasonable out-of-pocket expenses. Appointments are for an initial four-year term, with the possibility of a further four-year extension.
Board members are required to attend five meetings per year, chair or participate in Board committees as agreed, and occasionally represent Paddle UK at events. Meetings are normally held at the National Water Sports Centre in Nottingham, although virtual attendance may be possible.
