Job description
Finance Director

Ready to shape the future of finance in a dynamic, growing business?

We're looking for an exceptional Finance Director to lead a talented finance team and provide strategic financial leadership during a pivotal transformation. This is your opportunity to influence major decisions and make a lasting impact.

In this role, you will spearhead our new ERP implementation, positioning the finance function as a true strategic partner across the business. You'll deliver commercially focused insights and guidance to help our Partnership capitalize on success and drive sustainable growth across diverse industries. Working in a Partnership is unique, the approach is set out in the Partnership Agreement along with decisions about how the business is financed. Work is governed by RICS and RTPI. Working in an LLP can mean speed of decision making but also taking time to influence and taking people on the journey with you.

If you have a proven track record of developing high‑performing teams, shaping long‑term (3‑5 year) strategies, and leading financial system integrations, we'd love to hear from you.

You'll join a forward‑thinking business backed by an excellent finance team with a history of consistent delivery. As part of the senior team, you'll work closely with equity partners, our Managing Partner, COO and fellow Directors to build a profitable, resilient future for many years to come.

In return, beyond your base salary you will be included in:
  • A discretionary bonus scheme
  • Car Allowance
  • Private Medical Insurance
  • A generous holiday scheme which commences at 30 days plus an additional day for your birthday and a company holiday shutdown during the festive period (without using your own allowance)
  • Enhanced maternity, paternity, adoption and shared parental leave
  • Fully paid professional membership fees
  • An online money saving portal
  • Death In Service cover, alongside access to an Employee Assistance Programme which includes health appointments for you and your family
  • Volunteering Leave equating to 2 days per year (pro rata if you're part‑time)
Duties will include:
  • Support the firm's strategic vision for growth over the next 3‑5 years as key strategic partner
  • Provide commercial, financial, and operational input to drive sustainable growth
  • Oversee financial planning for key business areas prioritised for investment
  • Lead financial operations for FG LLP, including central team and any wider divisional activity
  • Manage the finance team through Fisher German's cultural transformation and modernisation
  • Support the specification, procurement and implementation of a new ERP solution
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with our Managing Partner, COO, Divisional Managing Partners and other key equity partners
  • Contribute to Governance Board meetings with non‑executive Chair
  • Manage and develop the finance team culture through periods of significant change
  • Build succession planning and capability development programmes
The successful candidate will have:
  • Chartered accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent professional qualification
  • Proven senior finance leadership experience in a similar‑size organisation (£50‑150M+ revenue)
  • Partnership ownership structure experience
  • Experience of working in a professional services environment (desirable)
  • Strong Communicator with experience of building trust
  • Comfortable driving transformation and cultural change management
  • Track record of driving change, automation, and digital transformation in finance functions
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling capabilities with ability to elevate to strategic level
  • ERP implementation experience
  • High emotional intelligence to work effectively with leadership, divisional management, and equity partners
  • Commercial & resilient mindset
