A leading NHS Trust in Greater Manchester is seeking a Radiographic Department Assistant to support sonographers in delivering a high-quality ultrasound service. The role requires excellent communication skills, previous experience in a healthcare environment, and a willingness to work flexibly, including weekends. This full-time position contributes to a busy team focused on excellent patient care.
This is a Radiographic Department Assistant role with Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. Closing date: 02 October 2025.
Support the team of sonographers in the ultrasound departments at St Mary's Hospital and Wythenshawe Hospital, delivering a high-quality, patient-focused ultrasound service. The post involves working in the ultrasound rooms within the pregnancy and gynaecology areas and providing care and assistance across sites as required. The role is part of a busy, efficient department where you will be a vital member of a large, dedicated team that strives to deliver excellent service to patients in Manchester. The post requires a flexible approach to work and may include weekend work on a rotational basis as overtime.
This is a 37.5 hours per week full-time role with agreed hours (e.g., 8.30 am–4.30 pm, 9 am–5 pm, or 10 am–6 pm), Monday to Friday.
Previous experience in a hospital environment, the ability to care for and communicate effectively with a wide range of patients, and a flexible approach to work are desirable.
