Job description
About the Role:

About the Role:

The Reset Sales is an independent, ambitious, and early-career professional role dedicated to helping traders manage their linear rates and FX fixing risk. This role is crucial for ensuring our clients are effectively hedged against unexpected rate movements at critical reset points for financial instruments. You'll build strong relationships with trading desks, proactively identifying their unique risk mitigation needs through both remote interaction and in-person engagement. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop deep expertise in interest rate and FX markets and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

What You'll Do
  • Build & Nurture Client Relationships: Develop and maintain strong working relationships with traders and risk managers. This includes regular communication, understanding their linear rates and FX exposure, and identifying risk mitigation priorities. Expect regular travel to meet clients face-to-face and participate in client entertainment.
  • Identify & Analyze Risk: Familiarize yourself with client risk profiles and their preferred reduction behavior in order to best service client needs across linear rates and FX portfolios.
  • Master the Markets: Continuously build your knowledge of global interest rate markets, central bank policies etc., understanding their impact on linear rates and FX.
  • Leverage Key Tools: Become highly proficient in using Bloomberg Terminal for market analysis, data retrieval, and client intelligence – it will be a key tool for your success.
  • Collaborate Internally: Work closely with the Sales, Client Services/Operations, Technology and Risk teams to ensure seamless execution of Reset runs.
  • Learn & Grow: Gather client feedback and market intelligence to help inform the development of new products.
  • Embrace Flexibility: While hours are flexible, be prepared for some work during inconvenient times of the day, as market events and client needs can arise outside of traditional business hours.
  • Thrive Under Pressure: Work effectively in a high-pressure, dynamic environment where quick thinking and decisive action are often required.
  • Travel Ready: Willingness and ability to travel frequently to meet and entertain clients.

Skills and strengths

  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in finance, preferably within fixed income, interest rates, FX, or a related analytical role. This could include internships, junior analyst positions, or similar.
  • Market Curiosity: A strong interest in financial markets, particularly interest rates and FX, and a desire to learn about derivative products and risk management.
  • Analytical Mindset: You're comfortable with numbers and can quickly grasp complex financial concepts.
  • Collaboration & Interpersonal Skills: You are outgoing and can clearly explain ideas, build relationships with different people, and are comfortable with in-person client engagement and networking.
  • Tech Savvy: Familiarity with Bloomberg Terminal is a significant advantage; a willingness and ability to quickly become proficient is a must.
  • Accountable & Bold: You're a self-starter who can take initiative and manage tasks with minimal supervision, including travel logistics.
  • Adaptable: You thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and are ready to tackle challenges head-on.
  • Flexible: You're comfortable with flexible hours and understand that sometimes work will need to happen during inconvenient times of the day, especially given market hours and client locations.

Education

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics or a related field.
