A leading digital infrastructure company seeks a German fluent Senior Director, Energy & Infrastructure Policy, to work remotely in London or other major European cities. The role involves leading policy engagement with governments and utilities to support data center development while monitoring relevant energy policies across Europe. Ideal candidates should have 12+ years in the energy sector, fluency in German, and strong stakeholder management skills, with competitive compensation and benefits offered.
Tract is a team of digital infrastructure experts dedicated to accelerating responsible data center growth by developing master-planned data center parks with access to pre-positioned power and fiber in key markets where hyperscale and AI demand is going. Our approach is collaborative with governments, utilities, cities, and regions to ensure development is targeted for the optimal locations to maximize the economic development benefits for the community while being good stewards of the land and minimizing the impact on neighbors.
Tract is part of Tract Capital Management; a global investment platform focused on strategic digital infrastructure. Together with its sister company Fleet Data Centers, Tract forms part of an integrated model that aligns land, power, and digital infrastructure delivery to enable the next generation of hyperscale and AI campuses.
This position is remote, with flexibility to be based in Berlin, another major German city, Amsterdam, London, or Madrid.
Tract is in search of a German fluent Senior Director, Energy & Infrastructure Policy to join our European team, reporting directly to the Vice President, Energy Strategy & Origination (Europe). This senior role will lead Tract’s policy engagement focused on energy and utilities-while also monitoring and influencing the broader policy landscape affecting digital and AI infrastructure.
The position will focus on establishing and managing relationships with governments, regulators, and utilities to enable grid access, transmission capacity, and regulatory alignment for Tract’s investments, while maintaining visibility on adjacent policy frameworks such as the UK’s AI Growth Zones, the EU AI Action Plan, and national data-center or industrial-strategy initiatives.
As a senior member of the Energy Strategy & Origination organization, the role works closely with the Origination Strategy, land strategy, and deal teams, ensuring that energy, infrastructure, and policy pathways are fully integrated into Tract’s market development and project delivery efforts. The successful candidate will combine deep understanding of European energy systems and regulation with fluency in digital-infrastructure policy and the ability to position Tract as a credible partner to both energy and technology policymakers.
Tract employees enjoy a competitive compensation and benefits package.
NOTE: This job description is not intended to be all‑inclusive. Employees may perform other related duties to meet the organization’s ongoing needs.
Tract Capital is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer. Qualified applicants are considered for employment regardless of age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or veteran status.
