An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed and knowledgeable Deputy SENCo to join a thriving secondary school in Wellingborough. This permanent role offers the chance to play a key part in shaping inclusive education and delivering positive outcomes for students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
Support the SENCo in leading SEND provision across the school
Deliver and monitor effective intervention strategies and tailored support plans
Collaborate with staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure student needs are met
Promote a nurturing and inclusive school culture
Monitor and evaluate student progress and wellbeing
Model high expectations and inclusive practice across the curriculum
Hold a degree or equivalent qualification
Have a deep understanding of SEND legislation, needs and strategies
Demonstrate a successful track record of supporting SEND pupils to achieve positive outcomes
Be a reflective and inspiring classroom practitioner
Set high expectations and serve as a positive role model for students and staff
Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
