Job summary
A healthcare organization in the UK is seeking a Senior Rehabilitation Engineer to assess the mobility needs of wheelchair service users and create innovative solutions. The role involves line management of engineers and participation in a continuous professional development program. Ideal candidates will have significant experience in the field. This position is based primarily in Worcester, with additional responsibilities in Herefordshire. - Create innovative and safe solutions to meet clinical needs of wheelchair users.
- Line manage Rehabilitation Engineers, trainees, and support staff.
- Participate in an active CPD and Clinical Supervision programme.
Skills
The Rehabilitation Engineer Service is based within our Trust's Adult and Specialist Rehabilitation Division of BCHC. We supply Rehabilitation Engineering resource to Wheelchair Services within the West Midlands.
Location: The role will be primarily based at Worcester Wheelchair Service Crown Lane, Wychbold, WR9 0BX, with expected activity in Herefordshire Wheelchair Services.
- Undertake assessment of postural and mobility needs for service users of wheelchair services.
- Create innovative and safe solutions to meet the assessed clinical needs of wheelchair users, taking into account relevant legislation and following our ISO13485:2016 QMS.
- Line manage Rehabilitation Engineers, trainees and support staff.
- Participate in an active CPD and Clinical Supervision programme as part of a Rehabilitation Engineering Team of over 25 staff.
- Significant experience in the subject field, including line management of Band 6 Rehabilitation Engineers / Trainees.
